Eating fresh corn on the cob in summer has been a favorite treat for me since I was a child. When presented with the opportunity to submit a piece for the "Farmers Markets" show at Margaret Clark Morgan Gallery my mind immediately went to those tasty golden ears and this image of randomly stacked pieces came to mind. Corny is on Exhibit August 28 through October 27 at The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Gallery in Hudson (10 W. Streetsboro St.) Gallery hours are 9 - 4:00 pm M-F The title o f the show is "Farmer's Markets" an exhibition of original works by the Hudson Society of Artists. Meet the Artists Reception: Friday, September 12, 5 - 8 pm. Artists Talks at 6 pm "Group Ten Gallery" is a new artist run contemporary art gallery in downtown Kent, OH. The resident members include some of the area's most respected art talents. This is Group Ten's first juried exhibition and they held a festive and well attended opening reception last Friday evening.
Looking forward to teaming up with my dear friend and accomplished artist, Annette Boncek, for our "Two of Hearts" show next month at Zeber-Martell.
I've put together a few signature ornaments this year to offer during the holidays. Each of the steel ornaments are clear-coated and are light enough in weight to hang on a Christmas tree. They were all crafted by "moi" and are steel stamped with my "KAT" signature. If you like them you can get them at my Studio/Gallery this weekend during Artsy Mart and the Akron Art Walk.
![]() Many thanks to those who joined us yesterday afternoon for the opening reception of the Penthouse Artists' first show together. Thanks also to the folks at St. Paul's Gallery for graciously hanging, housing, and hosting our show. We're an eclectic group of eight artists employing a variety of media and points of view. Our work includes painting, sculpture, drawing, art quilts, printmaking, collage and photography) It 's great fun for us to see our pieces displayed together. ![]() Now it's back to our respective studios on the third floor of the Summit Artspace building , the "Penthouse", to create new work ... possibly for our next group exhibition. Thanks to Cari Miller for the loan of her photographs
