I enjoyed being on the "Artist Panel" with talented artists, Mike Marras and Ted Lawson, last Monday evening. The three of us are former AEI participants and art business owners. We answered questions about our experiences operating an art business. We can all learn from one another. This info is from the Akron Area Arts Alliances new email announcement format which is informative, attractive, and user friendly.

AGC (Academy Graphic Communication) has been producing their 52 Weeks 52 Works calendars for 12 years. It's always a treat to see whose work is included in each years' calendar. I'm delighted that one of my pieces was selected this year and this (Feb. 22-28) is my week! My thanks to Joan Colbert for sending me this photograph. It was a pleasant surprise to see my painting "Duet" hanging in the front window of the Hudson Fine Art and Framing Gallery while walking down Main Street in Hudson. Here is the postcard (front and back) for my upcoming show "Apron, Interpretations in Painting and Sculpture"
The Opening Reception is Friday, Oct. 17, 5:00 - 8:00 pm even though the postcard says Sat. ... ooops Attendees are invited to wear a favorite apron if they are so inclined ... should be great fun! Eating fresh corn on the cob in summer has been a favorite treat for me since I was a child. When presented with the opportunity to submit a piece for the "Farmers Markets" show at Margaret Clark Morgan Gallery my mind immediately went to those tasty golden ears and this image of randomly stacked pieces came to mind. Streetsboro St.) Gallery hours are 9 - 4:00 pm M-F The title o f the show is "Farmer's Markets" an exhibition of original works by the Hudson Society of Artists.
